Dysarium conference

126
October 05

On October 5, Lviv will host Dysarium, Ukraine’s largest design conference, showcasing top designers from Ukraine and abroad. This free event, now in its second year, is organized by Pixlab design space from the TVORY! network in collaboration with CASES and is supported by the Lviv City Council under the "Lviv — the European Youth Capital 2025" initiative.

The theme for this year's conference is "Unity"

Dysarium aims to bring together talented designers, inspire them, and provide a platform for sharing experiences. The organizers believe that collaboration can foster a sustainable and innovative design environment in Ukraine.

"We wanted to create more than just a one-time event; we aimed to bring together like-minded people to explore new heights every year. Our goal is to foster a sense of togetherness, as we believe it is our cultural value and that living and creating together is much more rewarding. Dysarium stands for team spirit, unity, and the power of working together. For me, it's an extension of my journey in Pixlab's design space, which focuses on nurturing design. This is how I continue to do it in Dysarium, but in a way that reflects my style—with fun, humor, and honesty," says Yuriy Bakay, Head of Pixlab and Co-founder of Dysarium.

The program will showcase numerous exciting performances and interactive events aimed at bringing together designers from across the country. Special activities will facilitate networking for attendees, while discussion panels and open dialogues will encourage effective knowledge sharing.

The conference will gather numerous Ukrainian and international experts

The event will feature, among others, Volodymyr Smirnov, design director of Spiilka Design Büro; Dmytro Rastvortsev, a Ukrainian type designer; Kostya Schneider, creative director at Publicis Groupe Ukraine & Czech Republic + Saatchi & Saatchi Ukraine; Valentin Paniuta, co-founder and CEO at HyperNormal; and Stefan Sagmeister, one of the world’s most successful graphic designers, who will be speaking live in Lviv.

"Dysarium is an incredibly bold and, in the best way, slightly crazy event. From the very beginning of our interactions with the events team, I have been amazed by their ability to achieve what appears impossible from an external perspective. Organizing a large-scale event for thousands of people during a full-scale war, making it free for attendees, and still delivering a high-quality program with top speakers is an incredibly ambitious feat! Witnessing this ambition come to life for the second time, despite all the challenges, is truly inspiring. This year, it’s certain to be more robust, engaging, and extensive. Plus, we have planned numerous extra side events and perks," commented Anatoly Popel, CEO of CASES and Creative Practice.

The conference participation is completely free

The event will be held at the !FESTrepublic in Lviv. In-person attendees must pre-register, while online viewers will soon be able to schedule their viewing on the CASES platform.

The event is organized by Pixlab design space from the TVORY! network as part of the “Lviv — the European Youth Capital 2025” initiative in collaboration with the Lviv City Council, and with financial support from Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the state development bank KfW. The social network and EdTech platform for creative industries, CASES, is a co-organizer of the conference. Additional support comes from Excited!, Eleks, Railsware, Qubstudio, and action, Offgrid, Cieden, Rist Production, Dose of Culture, ArtHuss and others.
